I was in the market for a new office chair since I’ve been working from home (I only go into the office once a week). Before this one, I had a simple desk chair with an ergonomic seat cushion, which I purchased separately, hoping to ease my lower left back pain that gets worse when I sit for too long. However, this combo wasn’t enough to relieve my pain because the backrest of my old chair was too hard. After doing some research, I found these chairs on Ergosphere, so I got the Grey one for myself and the Knit Blue one for my brother because he was also in need of a new office chair. Just FYI: I’m about 5’5″ (female), and my brother is about 5’10”.I love how the dual-backrests support my back with this chair, and my lower left back doesn’t hurt as much as before, even after sitting for long hours. Also, the seat cushion is just right – not too soft or hard – and the headrest is perfect, especially when I lean back from time to time to do a slight stretch on this chair.Overall, this is a beautiful office chair for those looking for an ergonomic chair with full backbone support. We’ve had these chairs for a little over a week now and couldn’t be happier with this purchase! The dual-backrest mechanism works perfectly for both of us, and we love how easy it is to adjust different parts of this chair (even the backrests – you can adjust each of them separately!) to suit our body shapes and movements.
I’ve been looking for a comfortable office chair to replace our cheap older one. I was drawn to this model’s adjustability and ergonomic features, especially since it was very reasonably priced compared to other ergonomic options. Assembly was straightforward! I put it together in about 5 minutes and adjusted all settings to my comfort level in about another 5 minutes. Many parts of the chair are adjustable so that you can get a more custom fit. My favourite feature so far is the backrest. I can definitely feel the lower back support versus other office chairs I have used before. I am delighted with this chair! It is comfortable enough that I feel like I could take a nap in it.
Great chair. It took about two days to break in. When I first sat in on the chair, I thought it was rock hard. Two days later, I went and sat down on my Zody at work and laughed and how uncomfortable the Zody felt compared to this Duorest. This is a chair that you’ll need to dial in. The wings have sliders, so don’t be afraid to mess around with them and tinker with the distances. Also, the headrest is designed to be used when sitting at a tilted angle. This is an ergonomic chair. As such, it is designed to be seated at a 135-degree angle. Herman Miller and many other chair designers in the 90’s and early ’00s researched and found that the 135-degree sitting angle is miles better than the 90 degrees, sitting up straight position. As such, after that study, all ergonomic chairs are designed for that position. After all, the whole purpose of ergonomic chairs is to maximise body health. Now, when you sit in that 135-degree slouch, you will be in the perfect position for the headrest! 90 degree sitting, though; no, the headrest is too far back to be used. This is not a design flaw. This is intentional. Duorest is one of the most well-respected chair designers in Asia and specialises in chairs for back health. This chair easily compares with the Zody that I used at work for my day job before covid, and It’s a perfect chair at below 25000 price point.
I work out of my home, so my office chair has to fit me just right-I’m 5’6” (female). I like to have support in my lower back at all times. I love how the back support mechanism cradle my back during long conference calls-and the upper headrest to give my entire body the proper support the whole day. I’ve gone through so many of the “basic office” chairs, and even after a few weeks, the chairs would squeak, wobble or already feel like they were falling apart. I would recommend this no problem. (And yes, easy for even me to assemble, and that says a lot)
