The high-End industrial grade Dual gearbox system in our manual standing table achieves a speed of over 16mm per turn. With a 80kg dynamic lifting capacity, there is more than enough lifting power for most office setups. Coupled with less than no motor whine emitted while in use, it makes our desk perfect for home use.​
All frames are powder coated with an extra durable finish by the world's oldest pioneers of powder coating. The sustainable powder coating lasts for a lifetime while taking care of the environment.
The double stroke synchronized telescopic spindle gear system provides a smoother and quieter lifting motion. For the past 25 years, Ketterer has been making height adjustment mechanisms for office systems, so you can rest assured your desks spindle gear system is a leader in dependability and durability.
We only build desks that we’d use everyday. On the outside, a waterproof, scratch-resistant, GREENGUARD gold certified laminate, available in four attractive wood patterns and solid white. On the inside, a heavy-duty, high-density particleboard core 84% or more of pre-consumer recycled wood fibre. Joining them together is a GREENGUARD certified low-VOC, zero urea-formaldehyde water-based adhesive.
Our tabletops are made of Easy-Care Laminate; at an inch thick, they are perfect for a home office or a classic office look.

The installation is fairly simple and takes on average 15 minutes for someone with no experience installing sit/stand desks. However, we do suggest being two during the installation as the frame and the worksurface are heavy. Each desk comes with an installation guide.
The wire management kit includes lockable clips to fix loose cables directly under the desk and in between the adjustable frame’s brackets.Â
We also include a complimentary cable tray with all of our desk orders for managing power strip and peripheral power cables.

You can customize desk dimensions and materials. The manual crank is easy to use and very smooth and soooo much faster than my old Ikea desk. A bit challenging to set up, we had an issue with the little washer for the hand crank getting lost down the crank tubing—but once we got it set, it’s incredible! Love it!
That was the question. In some ways, I think motor driven is less complicated, but our hypothesis was that it wouldn’t be used all that much and is ever-so-slightly greener and less expensive. So far so good! We love the rounded corner table top, too.
I was so excited to see Ergosphere finally offering a crank-powered standing desk! We had already purchased electric adjustable desks from them a couple of years ago. But this time I was looking for something portable, this is what sold me, as I wasn’t looking forward to plugging in a motorized model just to adjust its height.I highly recommend the dual monitor arm as well, for improved ergonomics and an easy way to free up space, especially on the narrower 48-inch desks. The crank action itself is very smooth and it goes up by 16mm/turn as advertised. As a left-hander, I appreciated the option to install the crank on either side.Overall I’m delighted with this purchase. I recommend the crank-powered Balanced Desk 220 to anyone looking for a sturdy and good-looking standing desk that draws zero power.
I looked high and low for a good hand-crank standing desk and am very happy with the Balanced desk 220. It has a large enough desk to comfortably fit a monitor, looks nice, and has a hand crank rather than electronic height adjustment. Also, this desk has a very high speed of going up per crank compared to other crank desks available in India. For the height adjustment, I think I may mark on the wall a good standing height so I have that dialed in for when I stand. Sitting I use it at the lowest height. Overall good purchase and experience – happy with shipment time, installation, and the final result.
